| Installed by Dell (and maybe others) and is included with all Connexant V.92 and Broadcom modems. Not needed on bootup but can be left alone if not optimizing.

| The Digital Line Detecton program monitors the modem to make sure that the phone line is a standard analog phone line. If its a Digital phone line it could damage the modem. This application provide a warning before damage occurs. So if it cause problem and you dont use the phone line to access the internet you can turn it of, otherwise you can leave it on.
