| Having just purchased a LG DVD/RW with light scribe (Burns images onto special light scribe discs once flipped over) I can tell you that the icon runs in the task bar and basically is just a toolbox for altering light/contrast. I have disabled mine. Hope this helps. More information

if you want to keep your LG cd/dvd burner(and probrabely other lg drivers) update keep it actived

| Leave it off and your LG driver for LG DVD/CD ROM won't update, on it could be very annoying sometimes. So turn it on if you need to.
