| if you downloaded steam yourself and play games on it often i would reccomend letting turn on at start. uses about 50-100megs of ram so if your pc is low on ram it may be a good idea to leave this off unless you need it

| It's Steam. It's probably not a great idea to start this up on boot, as it takes a while to load and takes up a bit of CPU and RAM on lighter-weight machines, but it's definitely not going to hurt much either.
