| If you don't want this program, don't install it! Personally I use Yahoo Messenger so why would I not want it to start at startup?
Don't understand the negitive opinions of this program!

| Yahoo! Messenger (IM)... it's fine. A bit of a resource hog, but I use it all the time so happy to have it. If you don't want it, don't install it.

| Yahoo simply does not need to be part of your start up programs in order to operate properly; You should only have to click on the icon when needed. The fewer Junk programs you have at start up, the faster the boot time

| Start when you need it or else it will slow the start up and use some RAM.

| Yahoo simply does not need to be part of your start up programs in order to operate properly; You should only have to click on the icon when needed. The fewer Junk programs you have at start up, the faster the boot time ... My thoughts exactly. it slows start up, crashes my systyem while I'm away and causes a few other problems when it crashes like that. I'd hate to have to reinstall every time when I want to use.
Guess that's the only solution.

| I know that you have a choice to have it run at bootime but what's the -quiet? What's it on standby, running other programs, what's it doing with the -quiet?
